The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) expanded the obligation for companies to report on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, and the European Green Deal 2050 called for a historic, multidimensional green transition to sustainable business models, both in relation to stakeholders and in promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion internally, among other good management practices. Investment opportunities and key management aspects increasingly depend on ESG performance. Faced with this challenging context, companies need to develop skills, science-based solutions, and digital solutions that can contribute to better decision support, both in large companies and, in particular, in democratizing access to ESG reporting in SMEs. Before this implementation, it is important to train managers and professionals with contextual elements from their sectors, helping them develop a conceptual map of ESG, as well as generating skills in an implementation framework and its respective tools.
