Meeting on the Fight Against Poverty promotes debate on inequalities and collective action

CoLABOR is partnering with Pluriversidade Comunitária, Rede DLBC Lisboa, and LARGO Residências to promote the Meeting on Struggles Against Poverty – “Counting on each other: needs, knowledge and action”, which will take place on October 17th, between 9:50 am and 5:00 pm.

The meeting brings together people who live in and face situations of poverty and social exclusion, representatives of organizations, and other individuals involved in these areas, promoting a space for sharing experiences, knowledge, and perspectives on social challenges in Greater Lisbon.

Throughout the day, topics such as housing, mobility, working conditions, health, culture, and the stigmas associated with poverty, as well as their influence on social policies, will be addressed. The program includes roundtables and debates, in addition to moments of conviviality and sharing, with a view to building community resource networks and strengthening collective action.

The initiative aims to value the experiences and knowledge of those who live these realities, recognizing the importance of their participation in identifying needs and building solutions. In this context, the sharing and dissemination of knowledge among groups affected by inequalities plays a fundamental role in bridging reflection, lived experiences, and action.

The event is open to the public, inviting all interested individuals to participate in this space for debate, encounter, and collective creation.

Date: October 17th

Hours: 9:50 AM – 5:00 PM
