The study entitled “Sociographic Dynamics of Employment in Public Administration” analyzes sociographic trends in this sector during the period 2011-2022, and finds a greater concentration of employment in the Central Public Administration, particularly in positions in the area of public administration and in the area of education, science and technology, where a predominantly female profile stands out, with ages above 45, higher education and stable contractual relationships.
The author, Sara Nunes, a researcher at CoLABOR, also identifies some challenges, namely the aging workforce trend and the persistence of gender inequalities in access to senior management positions, issues that she considers necessary to take into account when planning employment policies in the public sector.
