The future of remote work was debated at the third meeting of the REMAKING project

How is remote work transforming — and what implications does it have for society and the economy? These were some of the central questions debated during the third consortium meeting of the REMAKING, which took place between May 13 and 15 in the city of Chania, Crete.

CoLABOR participated as a consortium partner, represented by researchers Tiago Santos Pereira, Ana Teixeira, and Eugénia Pires. The team contributed to the assessment of the work carried out to date, as well as to the definition of the next stages of the project.

The meeting was marked by a collaborative and productive approach, reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary research in supporting the formulation of public policies that respond to the emerging challenges of the world of work, particularly in the context of the increasing adoption of remote work arrangements.

CoLABOR leads the Work Package focused on the “Economic and Social Effects of Remote Work” and is currently developing a case study on Digital Nomads, in collaboration with its Greek partners at ECHN – European Creative Hubs Network.
