CoLABOR participated in the public opening session of the debate on Research and Innovation priorities in Portugal

On February 24, 2026, at the Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon, CoLABOR was present at the public presentation of the methodology that will be adopted for defining national Research and Innovation priorities.

This debate is part of the process of creating the Agency for Research and Innovation (AI2), and aims to establish a robust strategic framework to guide investment in science, technology and innovation in the coming years, namely:

  • Identify strategic options;

  • Analyze opportunities and risks;

  • to support the drafting of the AI² multi-year program contract.

The different phases, steps, and timeline of this discussion process can be found in the final version of the Strategic Assessment Methodology for Defining National Research and Innovation Priorities.

This session also included the presentation of the website that will serve as a space for open dialogue with the entire scientific community on the National Research and Innovation Priorities.

By participating in this initiative, which brought together representatives from universities, polytechnic institutes, research centers, companies, and other entities in the scientific and technological ecosystem, in an open and participatory dialogue, CoLABOR reinforces its commitment to the collaborative construction of priorities that enhance the economic and social impact of the country's scientific and technological system.
