Summary
The + EQUAL Project to Combat Gender Violence in São Tomé and Príncipe has the overall objective of contributing to the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls in São Tomé and Príncipe, aligning with the international commitments undertaken by the country and with the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality).
The project was formalized through the Contribution Agreement FED/2022/440-384, signed between the European Union and Camões, IP on December 12, 2022.
As part of its implementation, CoLABOR formalized a Partnership Agreement with Camões, IP for the development of an information management system in the area of gender-based violence (GBV) and capacity building for different services in its use (activity A.1.3.1). This product will ensure the availability of high-quality, disaggregated, and internationally comparable data capable of informing laws, policies, and programs, thus contributing to the activity (result 1.3).
Following a participatory and institutionally integrated approach with local entities, this information management system will adhere to the technical requirements defined in the Terms of Reference that frame this service provision – including respect for the principles of the Gender Based Violence Information Management System (GBV IMS) – and will be structured around the four project execution phases identified therein.
Results:
Information management system for gender-based and domestic violence; technical reports.
